Before coming to Pioneer, Andre had fallen into a trap that so many of us suffer; work, eat, sleep repeat. Although he knew that he wanted to achieve more, this cycle had left him feeling as if he didn't have the time to train, or eat right... never mind trying to find the "best" or "right way" to go about achieving his goal.

During his consultation, he made it clear that he needed to break up his current work/life balance, and carve out some more time for himself. Whilst working with Pioneer Performance James, together they've been able to to this by meeting challenges head on to create a happier & healthier lifestyle. Never mind an astonishing change in Andre's body composition!

What were your motivations behind starting Personal Training?

The reason I wanted to start personal training was to gain confidence in myself. When ever I would join a gym I would give up easily and not push myself, I also knew that I needed to lose some weight.

Did you have any training experience before starting?

I had some ‘gym’ experience before starting with Pioneer, however I didn’t have any experience with resistance training.

What was your nutrition and lifestyle like before working with your coach? 

Before starting my lifestyle completely revolved around work, I as many hrs as possible, and struggled to find the time to eat right and do any exercise. Most of the time I would find myself eating was junk food like frozen chips & pizza.

How has your diet and lifestyle changed since starting?

My diet & life style has been completely overhauled! I now think what foods I am going to eat before I start each day. My coach James has helped me with get my plan arranged around my work and exercise routine. However I’ve also been educated on the process, so if I need to change my schedule, I know how to rearrange my meals and training to stay on track.

 

What has been the hardest habit to kick during the process? 

The hardest habit has really been around work. It’s great being in a routine but it’s still challenging to not come in from work and just head for the cupboards for some of my old snack foods.

What would you say to someone who is sitting on the fence about contacting Pioneer Performance? 

I would say to them since joining Pioneer Performance it has changed my life by giving me the confidence to push myself to do more. The help and support you receive from the coaches is 100%, they build the training and nutrition plan around you and your lifestyle. If there’s anything you are struggling with they are there to push along the way.
