What makes our Personal Training model so effective? How does it work? What do I have to do to get started?

Here we answer some of the most common questions you might have about our Personal Training programs.

How long do I need to do this for?

This completely depends on your goal and your starting point. However, when you sit down and consult with one of our team we can begin to map out an estimated timeline of how long it would take you to achieve your goal. We do this through our many years of experience & collecting client data.

I have an injury/mobility issues, will this be suitable for me?

Yes.

Each aspect of our training process is built around where you are right now.

Every client starts with a structure & movement screening before we work with you on the gym floor. This means we can build a detailed understanding on how you move as well as the ranges of motion you currently have available at our many joints.

How much muscle can I expect to build?

Building and maintaining muscle mass depends on various factors such as gender, genetics, diet, training, and recovery.

If you're new to resistance training, you'll probably experience significant improvements in your first 1-3 years. If you have previous training experience but haven't worked out in a while (what we call a born again beginner), you can also expect to make significant progress in your first 6-12 months.*

As you continue to train, your progress may slow down.

However our training programs are progressive in such a way that we make strategic changes at the right times to keep you moving forward as effectively as possible.

Can I gain muscle and lose fat at the same time?

Contrary to popular belief, you can lose fat and gain muscle simultaneously through a process known as "body recomposition."

The key to successful body recomposition is a combination of calorie deficit and a strategic training plan that signals your body to hold onto muscle while reducing excess fat. With this approach, you can sculpt your body and work towards the physique you've always wanted.

We've helped countless clients achieve body recomposition, even those who are new to resistance training, recently returned or have simply not trained to the same intensity as our programs. With our expert guidance, you can build muscle while losing fat, and see real, lasting results that will leave you feeling stronger, more confident, and with more energy.

How many times a week should I work out?

This depends on how many times a week you like to train, how much time you have available and your goal.

For the vast majority of clients, two to three weekly resistance training sessions is the sweet spot.

What kind of meals will I be eating?

Our nutrition process is tailored to meet your individual needs and preferences, ensuring that you can achieve your goals while enjoying a healthy and balanced diet. Depending on your goal and lifestyle, our program encourages the consumption of high-quality, single-ingredient foods such as lean meats, sources of protein, lots of green fibrous vegetables, and healthy fats. These foods not only improve various health markers but also enhance satiety, energy levels, and hormonal health.

We understand that life can be busy, which is why our trainers work with each client to find solutions and strategies that work for them. While some sacrifices may be necessary to achieve your goals, our trainers will help you find a sustainable approach that allows you to enjoy your favourite foods while still making progress towards your goals.

Many of our clients are surprised at just how many of their favourite foods can be included in their meal plan and still allow them to achieve their desired results. We believe that a healthy and balanced diet can still include foods that you enjoy, as long as they fit within the structure we've laid out together.

Can i use the Pioneer Performance Gym outside of my one-to-one training sessions?

Yes.

Our Personal Training Packages include a membership option which is only available to our one-to-one coaching clients. This means that you can have access to our private facililty (even when are aren't there).

That's right, no more busy commercial gyms with broken equipment.

By using our private facility you can actually use the equipment that you intended to and perform your session to the fullest without interruption! We also have a secure digital entry system with remote monitoring to make sure our environment is as safe as possible.
