3 Tips to fix your squat

The squat can be a great exercise for building the lower body. However, not everyone is built to squat out of the box! Try following these 3 quick tips to improve your squat which will keep you injury free and progress nicely towards your goals!

  1. Brace the abdominals – this will help keep your torso stable and upright whilst your squatting, which is very important especially if you are using weights!
  2. Drive knee’s outwards – getting this right will significantly reduce your chance of injury
  3. Elevate the heels – Many people suffer with stiff ankles, if you can see your heels lifting up during your squat, try placing a small wedge or small weight plates under the heel
